Funeral grants

When someone with cystic fibrosis dies, we can provide a grant of £750 to help with funeral costs. Grants are usually processed within 14 days of us receiving a completed application, and we can pay the grant to funeral directors directly if it is more convenient.

How do I apply?

We aim to make it as easy as possible for bereaved families to apply for this grant at such a difficult time.

Please complete the application form and send it in to us by email or post to the address on the form. The application will need to be supported by a professional who was involved in the medical care of the person who has died – if this is difficult for you to arrange please contact us and we will help.

If you need any help applying for this grant, please contact our helpline.

For more information please read our grant guidelines.

Bereavement

We have a number of information resources to support you if you know someone with cystic fibrosis who has died, including a booklet for parents who have lost a child and a booklet for children who have lost a parent. Take a look at our bereavement resources and find out about further support.

Research we're funding

The Trust is committed to funding and supporting cutting-edge research to find new and better treatments for cystic fibrosis. Take a look at some of that work and the progress that is being made.
